I don’t know how American Financial Solutions got my email address, but I never signed up for anything from them. Yet somehow, I keep receiving relentless spam from this company — and I’ve had it. I’ve requested multiple times to be removed from their mailing list. I’ve clicked unsubscribe. I’ve replied. I’ve filled out contact forms. And despite all of that, they continue to ignore me and send unsolicited emails like it's their right. This isn’t just annoying — it’s a blatant violation of email marketing laws. So I’ve done what anyone in my position would do: I’ve filed a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). I suggest others experiencing this do the same. If this is how American Financial Solutions treats people who never asked to be contacted in the first place, it raises serious concerns about how they handle client information, privacy, and ethical standards. You’ve lost any credibility, and now you’ve crossed a legal line. Stop the spam. Enough is enough.

I was having some financial difficulties and needed help a couple of years ago and have been working extremely hard to get my credit rating up. For the most part I was happy with their services until today when I received an urgent email from American Financial telling me my account was delinquent. I checked my email confirmations and I made the payments to American Financial however they didn't make the payments to the creditors. So I have 2 delinquent accounts and my credit rating went from almost great to fair. Im so pised and all they did was offer me $80 credit which is 4 months service without a service charge from them which is $20 per month. Wow my years of hard work to get my credit rating up was for nothing. Thanks for screwing up my credit rating.

*Updated after talking with AFS. I was mis-informed about them holding onto my money, the 25 days was in reference to calendar not working days. I do owe them a thank you for helping out in my time of panic. Ok. I was served with papers because of a defaulted credit card. I panicked thought my only solution was to enlist the help of this profiteering company. Did they help in my panic? Yes. Have I payed some down towards my debits? Yes. Was it the smart move? Instead of no action yes, but hindsight is 20/20. What I wish I would have done is just CALLED MY CREDITORS and set up a payment plan and eliminated this middle company that has made $1350 just on their Monthly Service Fee. I finally asked a friend to help me understand my finances because I am not the most financially literate. I only wish I had done this sooner.

Covid impacts to my household finances had me seeking a professional, simple and legitimate debt management solution. Staff worked with me to figure out a plan to pay off my debts within 3 years at a monthly payment I was able to handle. It has given me peace of mind to delegate this task to someone else and allow AFS to help me meet my financial goals. They are a legitimate and wonderful company. Check them out.

Took their ‘Debt Education’ class but cannot submit the test due to a technical problem. I’m out several hours of time and the wasted money for the class.
