Agree with all the reviews saying this place is like a treasure box. Affordably priced, many items are vintage and look like they have a story ❤️ welcoming staff as well. I got two ukiyo e prints from the 60s. A gem that I'd like to revisit as the seasons change.

We just made it before it closes at 3 pm (an hour before the center closes), and the staff was nice enough to accommodate us. I got a bunch of beautiful stationery and craft paper. Check them out under the shelf across from the cashier.

So cute! I've picked up some adorable bowls for my apartment and a beautiful tea set.

From one tin box of kimono silk scraps found at this store, I was inspired to create three unique quilts! This place is truly a treasure; every visit brings new discoveries. I love Hosekibako!

A hidden treasure! It’s a tranquil resale shop selling mostly small items like dishes, cups, and decor, all beautifully curated and well cared for. A must see if you’re even remotely interested in Japanese culture, design, or antiques. I got my very first wall decoration for my new apartment here, a lovely old print of some koi fish.

I love this shop for unique items for myself and to give as gifts. I love talking to the staff. Even the youngest of them have so much knowledge about everything Japan. I learn so much each time I visit and never leave empty-handed. And it is all for such a good cause.

This shop has home goods, decorations, educational items, clothing (mostly kimono) and much more. During Covid-19 their website has been updated well and I feel confident with their policies to keep the store, volunteers and customers safe. The items are either new or very gently used donations and are priced VERY fairly. The money raised goes to a great place, too--so please support them if you can!

Excellent selection of robes and kimono. Really nice lacquerware. Great place to pick up gifts.
